Bayshore/Long Beach Homeschoolers is a support group open to all homeschoolers (or those interested), regardless of faith, ethnicity, lifestyle and/or philosophy of education. The homeschoolers involved in this group follow various paths from families who file the R-4 to those enrolled in public programs and other private ISPs. The support group is not affiliated with any organization or program. All homeschooling families are welcome - as are those who are interested in this educational alternative! We do request that individuals be respectful of one another's opinions and philosophies whether it be related to homeschooling style or political affiliation. No solicitors or proselytizers please. Bayshore/Long Beach Homeschoolers meets on Fridays. Generally, it is just a time for free play for the kids, talk & support for the parents. We are a self-directed support group in that everyone is free to develop & plan activities. Some of the activities that we have planned in the past have included holiday parties, take-apart days, craft activities and field trips. Bring lawn chairs, blankets, lunch, sand toys, basketballs and whatever else your family needs for a park day outing. Directions Park is located at 3457 Stanbridge Avenue near Wardlow Road, between Lakewood and Bellflower Boulevards. From the 405 (San Diego) Freeway: Exit at Bellflower Blvd., north, to Wardlow Road, turn left, park will be on your right, OR Exit at Lakewood Blvd, north. Proceed past Long Beach Airport to Wardlow Road, turn right. Park will be on your left.
